I just want to know how to upload a photo into a thread?

At the bottom right as you add your post you will see browse and upload.

Upload the image you want, and then using "Manage Current Attachnents", insert it where you want into your post

That's one way and will display a Thumbnail of the picture.

The otrher way is to have the picture or photo on some website, free space you can find via googleling, and use the Picture Button from the format section above the Edit Area (where you type your post/text pp. as I do now) and place a link to the picture, like this sample link: http://www.xxsspi/pic1.jpg, in the adressbar which show up by pressing the picture button.
