luluanator
Hi I am back in Bangkok after being away for a few years. I would like to have a bit more of an intellectual life here this time. Does anyone know of a book club around the sukhumvit area, or would anyone be interested in starting one with me? Lulu

Does anyone know of a book club around the sukhumvit area, or would anyone be interested in starting one with me? Lulu Count me in if you start one up. I will only be in Bkk f/t to April when I will be spending most of my working time in Kanchaniburi but I will be back and forth Edited January 27, 2008 by sgunn65
Briggsy
Not quite sure what you mean by a book club but have you tried the Neilson-Hays Library on Surawong Road? If not, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

BFD
Yeah, please post some more details about this library here. Didn't think I'd come across one in BKK. BFD!
quiksilva
Its located on Surawong Road on the left hand side just before the British Club. It's a lovely old property, colonial style, and has a good range of English language books both to loan and for reference. They have a book club there, which I think meet on a weekly basis. nnookk
Try Dasa Book Cafe, located between Sukhumvit 26-28. I visit the place quite often. http://dasabookcafe.com
