I believe that ABC a (mainly) free-to-air channel on another satellite sometimes broadcasts Australian football. However you need a 'C' band receiver and dish to receive this channel (the big dish as opposed to the small KU band UBC dish). ABC will send you a free smart card to watch their encrypted rugby broadcasts if you apply. Do a search on 'JSAT' AND 'Thailand' to get more information - though you don't have to buy gear from them.
