00dbs Program Not Found No Skipping Autocheck

Featured Replies

The message "00DBS program not found no skipping AUTOCHECK" is showing for a few seconds during windows booting, and then, windows boots normally.

I was searching for a solution to this problem and found the page in Italian:

http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry462269

As far as I understand it is referring to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

Here is a snapshot of that key on my system:

Please advise.

Delete the Registry entry.

after that restart the computer and download Advanced Windows Care from HERE and run it.

Also download Auslogics Registry Defrag from HERE or Auslogics 3 in 1 from TV download Section and run the Registry Defrag after Advanced Windows Care.

That should clean up your Registry complete.

Cheers.

Thanks for the prompt reply, Reimar.

Delete the Registry entry.

Do you mean to delete the whole "BootExecute" content?

Have a read at KB831426 and KB102985(Q102985) former refers to NT3 but this part of the XP/vista kernal came from NT3 code but note that some of the other defaults on this section have been changed.

Are you sure you were looking at the correct HIVE?

edit: I just booted up vmworkstation and checked XPpro and home running clean installs and both have this regvalue

Thank you all for the advice.

I have edited my "BootExecute" hive - the only value left is: autocheck autochk *.

Rebooted the system and everything is OK.

P.S.

I also run the Advanced Windows Care 2 and Auslogics Registry Defrag.
