Is it possible to turn the volume of the person speaking up? I have a pretty old mobile but for the last week or so the volume is so low that I can hardly hear the person speaking. I figured I must have adjusted the volume somehow but can't find how to turn it up. That or my phone is about to die!

The volume control on my Nokia is on the side of the phone, usually top left from my experience. I have an aging phone where the general speaker clarity is going and I suppose it is just a sign of age.

No gadgets on the side of my phone! It's a 1110 if anyone's got one! I'm sure on a mobile I had a few years ago that to adjust the volume you press the 'up' button while they are talking but on this phone it only goes to the address book!

Nokia Volume (for listening to the handset/calls) is most easily adjusted DURING A CALL.

Either a volume on the side of the handset pressing up during a call, or if you have a menu button in the center of your handset, try pressing it on the left side during a call.

Call customer service 1175 or an airline 1318/1126 just to get the phone call active and then try a few options to raise the volume. It's usually pretty darn easy... ONCE you have the volume located and know to change it during a call.

I had the same problem. In desparation I read the instructions. Scroll right (right arrow) while your phone is 'calling' turns the volume up, scroll left while 'calling' turns the volume down. It worked on my nokia.
