A Farang and his Thai wife owned a small bar/restaurant in Thailand.

The Thai Government Wage & Hours Department heard a claimed they

Were not paying proper wages to his staff and sent an agent out to interview them.

"I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them,” demanded the agent.

"Well," replied the couple, "there are 3 ladies who's been with us for 3 years. I pay them 280 baht a hour plus free room and all free food. The cooks have been here for 18 months, and I pay them 300 per hour and they also get free room and food. They are also allowed to keep any unused food and send back to their family in the village where they come from.

Then there's our half-wit. He works about 18 hours every day and does about 90% of all the work around here. He makes about 120 baht per day, pays his own room and board and I buy him a bottle of Sang Som and a Chang every Saturday night. He also sleeps with my wife occasionally.

"That’s the guy I want to talk to...the half-wit," says the agent.

"That would be me," replied the Farang “.

no joke - I drive around a mud-splattered 9 year old motorbike, and use an crumby clunky mobile phone with a mind of its own. Meanwhile, my hired help (immigrants from Laos) have shiny motorbikes less than a year old (though they pay monthly with %) and have slick little state-of-the-art mobile phones that do everything but manicures.
