Jockstar
Personally i like British music. Some of the bands/artists you list i have never heard of. So cant comment on your music tastes. I like to think that i am open to different types of music. Many of my mates work in the music industry. But i have tried and tried to like Thai music, But really cant get into it. It seems to be mostly cheesy thai ballads. Why have you not got any Beatles in your collection? Surely this is the band that revolutioned music as we know it. Neil Young is good,The Clash were a rocking band, Never really got into the Pogues but at least i have heard of them. Theres a couple of other ones i have heard off. But most of them mean nothing to me.

stroll
Interesting, some music you mentioned I heard about, but never listened to, like Lynrd Skynrd. I am more metal/Goth/hardrock, Metallica, Ministry (like the new album inspired by hating Bush, all track names relate to 'W' as in no W, Worm, Worthless, etc.), Monster Magnet, Lacrimas profundere, Cathedral, also classics such as Billy Idol, Ramones, Alice-in-Chains. With Thai music my problem is I cannot read Thai and made a number of mistakes buying what looks good. Can't go wrong with LOSO, Carabao, Taxi and traditional music from Isan- a good selection of all 3rd floor Emporium, Sukhumvit 24, it is labeled in English as well. Some friendly Thai music stalls are located around the Old Siam Square.
