How big are the chances that the last flight of Airasia from Chiang Mai to Bangkok will be cancelled ? A delay of departure won't be a problem, but I need to catch an ongoing international flight, so a cancellation would cause a serious problem. Any ideas about this situation ?

good chance of it bieng delayed, doubt cancelled. but if ya at airport early they normally tell you at desk hours before!!

i fly air asia cos im a cheap charlie, when delayed as most are, nok air seems to come in and out, they might be worth a try (if they do that route)

Since the plane is probably based in Bangkok, they'll want to get it back there. I would think you would be fine.

But the "better safe than sorry" says take the earlier flight. Stressing out when travelling is a bummer. Better to relax and be early than freaking out over the unforseen.

The last AirAsia flight from CNX to BKK can be /notorious/ for delays, upwards of 2 hours or more. Previously, I took this flight in late December and didn't arrive into BKK until after 2am... is your international flight the following morning, or one of those redeyes that leaves after midnight?

It's after midnight. I guess it's better to take an earlier flight !
