Help Needed With Visa And Work

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I’m 20 from the UK. I run a small recruitment agency and I make about £1,000 a month. I could easily run it from Thailand with my laptop and internet connection. I want to live on one of the islands like Ko Samui.

I’ve never been so am going on holiday in 4 weeks to travel around for a month and get to know the place before taking the big jump.

I do have some questions I hope some people can help me with.

What type of visa would I need to move to Thailand to continue running my business in the UK remotely from Thailand? Here in the UK i'm a sole trader, I know it’s basically impossible for a foreigner to be self employed in Thailand. Would I be classed as working, even though I would actually be making a living in the UK just remotely from Thailand!? Would they let me in on this basis? I know I’m doing business, but not in Thailand. I have a business idea as well that I would like to get set up in Thailand as well.

I think £1000 a month is a lot in Thailand am I right? Can I live a decent standard of life for this money?

I think i’m going to move over in about 4 months.

Any help would be great!

Rhyan
