HELP...I have just returned from Loas and somewhat disappointed to be given only a three month non im visa inspite of submitting all the relevent papers inc financial, house paper etc. It would now appear that a 1 year multiple entry visa can be only be issued in your home country....unless perhaps you can show income or money in the bank! Does anyone know the best place to apply for a o visa?

If you have around 400K baht in the bank somewhere, you could probably get one in Singapore.

I think that basically, they they want you to get an extension in Thailand, showing that you have the funds to support yourself and wife. If you get a multi, they figure you are going to be there for the year, same as if you got an extension, so they want to see that you have the funds to support yourself and wife.
