Midyear military reshuffle complete, Pre-Cadet Class 10 reinstated

BANGKOK: -- The midyear military reshuffle has complete in accordance with the requirements of the armed forces and should not be politicised because of the reinstatement of many officers from Pre-Cadet Class 10, seen as allies of the Thaksin Shinawatra government, Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal Chalit Pukbhasuk said on Monday.

"Pre-Cadet Class 10 officers are not a problem of the military but a part of the armed forces and they will receive job assignments in their career ladder to ensure the continuity of military leadership," he said.

He said it was in contrary to good personnel management if the officers were to be denied their career growth.

He added that military leaders designed the job rotations to pave way for the annual lineup, scheduled for October, to replace retired generals.

Prime Minister and Defence Minister Samak Sundaravej has agreed to the rotations as proposed by the armed forces, he said.

Many Pre-Cadet Class 10 officers have been sidelined following the coup in 2006.

There was strong competition to become a member of that class.

Coming top of that class earned him his scholarship to the USA to do his doctorate.

There is no way he honestly earned an honest doctorate with those language skills.

Not much of what he has accomplished was ever done honestly.

Are there any Thais on board who can explain how they number these cadet classes. I remember decades ago about some class in single digits being the class in power surrounding Prem. How do we get from Class 5 to only Class 10 after nearly 30 years. Does the Chulachomklao Military Academy for Future Depots recycle class numbers once the number grows too high for the average graduate to count up to?

There is no way he honestly earned an honest doctorate with those language skills.
