i m currently staying in thailand with an extended tourist visa that will expire end of March.

I m planning a visa run+weekend to Penang with my thai gf but I heard the thai consulate there is very strict.

How is the situation now? I wanna apply for another 60days tourist visa, I can show an air ticket to Europe but I dont have hotel reservations since I m living in my gf's condo.

Do you think I will have problems? How many days it take to get the visa there? In case something will go wrong can i come back to Thailand with a visa on arrival?

PS: is possible to get the same visa in Vientiane?

Penang. Submit in the morning. Pickup next day after 2pm.

You Wont get a Visa On Arrival if unsuccessful, but you will get a 30 day Visa Exempt Stamp.

Vientianne would be a better bet , and you would probably get a Double Entry if you ask.
