March 19, 200818 yr Some people have too mch time on there hands... Who, Colypat or SJ Moss Both, perhaps?
March 19, 200818 yr If I had to wait to be sober to post, I would never have made it to Bedders. Here here !!! I wouldn't come out my shell if I was sober all the time It's interesting that many of the said posters are now plying their trade on the other site. Nice one "suiging and chavy" never had any words (posts) with you both, but yes well told. Why should we dig up the graves of persons that are nonconformists . Let them stay where they dug themselves into. Kan Win
March 19, 200818 yr One can ponder the hypothetical question 'If you were kicked out of TV,would you try to come back?' Some have tried before, some couldn't be bothered I guess and found greener pastures.Who besides the Copy guy is trying to make a comeback? Edited March 19, 200818 yr by Momo8
March 19, 200818 yr Well there are some counter arguments, KW, to do with the terms of a ban. Please PM me "Khun Ping"with your Well there are some counter arguments. Yours truly, Kan Win
March 19, 200818 yr 555 thanks for the words of caution, Momo, but I believe KW is making a fair and reasonable request. There is nothing in the rules that prevents me from discussing moderation issues by way of PM - and in any event, what I have to say is not all that contentious; I have said the exact same things before in the 'Banned Posters' thread without anyone raising their eyebrows to an uncomfortable level. I would be most pleased to oblige, KW, but forgive me if I don't attend to it immediately, since I am well overdue to be counting sheep.
March 19, 200818 yr 'Discussion of moderation issues, actions or moderation policies concerning individual cases are not allowed in the forums.' The line above is self explanatory - in the forums is the distinction. Most moderators myself included will explain a decision with the person affected if it is by PM and politely worded. The mods will not discuss decisions made by other moderators or that affects other members - this is reasonable because the mod asked may not know all the details of the situation. Sometimes members have asked me questions about moderation in general or specific questions. Since becoming a mod, I have taken the view that I will take the time and make the effort to explain my actions and that my actions should be accountable to the members. Any member who I have suspended is sent a PM with an explanation why and made the offer to discuss it by PM if they believe that the penalty is incorrect. Mods are human the same as the other members, sometimes we make mistakes and I have removed a suspension that after discussion with the poster I agreed was unfair. We try to do a good job and with experience I think we get better at it. Sometimes we get a bit gun shy and other times we get trigger happy but most of the time I think we do pretty well. CB

Dear Khun Ping, I am "Kan Win", "Win" or "Kan" and please do not refer me as "KW" thank you, as this poster is on the other side and a good photographer as well, so please no more "KW" if you all please. I like your style. Edited March 19, 200818 yr by Momo8
March 19, 200818 yr May I just add a very serious point here. I think the mods do a great job under sometimes very difficult circumstances. Well done mods! And if anyone thinks I'm taking the micky, may I just add, I'm not. Of all the forums I'm a member of (apart from the one where I'm a mod! ) these are the best collection of mods I know of! March 20, 200818 yr I thought I would have been in with a chance of an honourable mention after I closed The Last Word threadThat had people going for a while CB Don't go there girlfriend
March 20, 200818 yr I always wondered. If somebody is banned. Are they banned for life? I've always wondered if they are Buddhists, are they banned in the next life also?
March 20, 200818 yr I always wondered. If somebody is banned. Are they banned for life? When a person is banned they cannot return to the forum, so yes it is for life. If they come back under a new nick and it is discovered that is banned immediately even if the new nick has no warnings or suspensions. CB
March 20, 200818 yr The Donz wasn't trolling though, that was his real life! I think there is one to many 'r' in that if your're thinking of Donz As for Trolls Tonyleung was a pretty good for a laugh troll as he kept geting his facts mixed up.

March 20, 200818 yr I see a legendary name has just cropped up in a "Pub" thread. BudZumwalt - was he a troll or just a character?
March 20, 200818 yr So if this YAWN character is a newbie how can he have access to Bedlam? Joined: Yesterday, 2008-03-19 17:42:27 Profile Views: 11* Last Seen: Private Local Time: 2008-03-20 18:33:49 6 posts (5.57 per day) As to Blizzard being a troll, poor guy was just naive, uneducated, verbally challanged, illiterate or all four.
March 20, 200818 yr Yawn is not a newbie... it's just the latest reincarnation of the same old troll .... and in need of more "disruptive" post deletions and banning by mods/admin. He doesn't have access to Bedlam.

March 20, 200818 yr "Last seen: Private" just means he's logged in as invisible, nothing to do with Bedlam. If he had access to Bedlam then there that would mean there is something seriously wrong with the forum software!
March 20, 200818 yr I think the point being made is that he remains a member ( of TV, not Bedlam) yet has been banned on multiple occassions and is also openly stating that he will immediately reinvent himself (again) once he is banned (again).

My mistake,I thought 'Private' was the Bedlam forum. You should be able to deduce who it/he/she is via IP address then. Nice disclaimer Ping. Edited March 20, 200818 yr by Momo8
March 20, 200818 yr We must be at cross purposes, I thought SBK was referring to the troll Yawn. Apols to you (Momo) and SBK. I assume Bedlam is only called a private forum because of the post count requirement - so it is a 'conditionally' private forum, I suppose - whereas, for example, the Mods forum is fully private; you have to be a mod/admin in order to gain access. The person who was lurking privately could only do so if he or she has the required post count, since Bedlam is invisible to those who are not qualified to enter it (whether they are logged-in privately or not).
