I don't need this letter at the present but talking to a Thai Lawyer the other day he was under the impression you just go to the British Consulate in Chiang Mai, show your passport, swear that you have an income from overseas, pay the costs and go away with a letter stating you have x amount of income from the UK.

Is it is as easy as this? Curious to hear from anyone who has got the letter.

This is not true as you have to show proof at the embassy of your income before they will give you a letter.

much as I thought, hope he hasn't told to many of his clients the wrong info :o
