hey.... a few weeks ago i got my hair cut and coloured in the mbk centre!! love the cut..but i'd asked for highlights (had the colour number etc i use back in europe), he instead put a full colour..and bleach on my hair...it turned out orange!! had to get it fixed in koh tao and now its yellow!! need somebody in bangkok area..or down in the islands who could do highlights!!! any help appreciated!! its too hot to be wearing hats!!!

There are a few threads about hair coloring here in the ladies forum but unfortunately none covering Koh Tao. Schwing in Bangkok comes highly recommended.

A few years ago I went to a hairdresser recommended by Boo, at the top of Chaweng in Samui, she did a great job with my color. I am not sure if she is still there tho . If you are headed over there to see, she is right at the start of the south end of the Chaweng beach road, just on a curve, on the right hand side. I am afraid I can't remember her name tho! Maybe Boo will.

There is a decent hairdresser here on Koh Phangan, but I don't know how she does with color or highlights. But she does a good job following the cut I already have and does speak some English. If interested PM me and I'll give you directions to her place in Thong Sala.
