Woman Drown After Night Of Heavy Drinking............

Featured Replies

SOURCE: Pattaya City News: March 13th 2008

Woman drowns following night of heavy drinking.

On Wednesday Night, Police Major Khunawoot from Banglmang Police Station and Sawang Boriboon Rescue Workers were called to Soi Banglamung 29 after reports of a woman who had drowned were received.

At the scene, they were confronted with the body of Khun Sumnieng aged 44. Her shocked Husband, Khun Sootjai aged 43 explained that his Wife had been drinking all night and had recently lost her job in a local factory because of her constant drinking.

The exact cause of her drowning is unknown; however it is expected to relate to her drinking heavily earlier in the night. At this point Police do not think that a third party was involved in her death; however the investigation is ongoing at this time.

But do they think a second party (i.e. husband) was involved?

To me it seems like a simple accidental death, through over-use of alcohol.

No third party, no second party.

But this is probably just very poor reporting through ignorance of the English language.

Howard - any response?

Correct of course but there again we are talking about the Pattaya City News and not the Times, Telegraph or Observer hence entirely understandable.

Oh, it's understandable.

It's just not forgiveable! :o
