Hi all, I've read a lot of posts on here about fiancee and settlement visas to the UK and there's lots of good advice and all but I got just a little Q to ask:

I'm an English Teacher on a Thai wage 28,000 a month before tax, I have been in Thailand around 1 1/2 years and I have been living with my gf for around a year.

Expenditures, they want to know how much I spend every month but I cannot give them this information. I just wrote a cover letter saying that I have been in Thailand and I cannot guess how much I will spend in the UK. I also said that I will be living with my parents and that all rent, bills and tax will be covered by them.

I have a job offer letter of around £14,000 pounds, £2000 in savings, letter from parents saying she is welcome to come and that they have met her already (with Pics)

So you think this is ok or can I do something extra?

You'll also need to provide evidence of your relationship and, if either party has been previously married, the relevant divorce certificate(s). The letter from your parents should also state how many rooms the property has, how many people currently live there, and whether they own/rent it. They should provide evidence of their occupation of the house, e.g. a mortgage statement/tenancy agreement and perhaps a couple of utility bills, too, for good measure.

Scouse.

Since you never mentioned about the expenditure thing I gues what I did was ok

I don't have a letter stating how many rooms or who lives there currently, just that they are happy shes coming home with me (they did put the address in their letter)

I do have the proof of ownership from the land registry and my bank statements has the house address on them, I also have some pics

Well wish me luck, I'm off to Bangkok today to hand this baby in

btw I followed the format of that sticky in the top of this forum, that guy helped me a lot

Is the embassy open on Sundays?

Please report back the outcome, as I am thinking about doing the same later this year. I don't have a job but enough money in the bank, parents have been over and met her, would be staying with them etc, etc, so quite a similar situation by the sounds of it, but they don't make it easy.

Good luck.

You do not apply at the Embassy. You apply here.

They are open Mon-Fri.

Theres a bit of a holdup atm, the TB test thing didnt come up all clear with the X-ray so we have to do 3 more days of sputum tests. I gota get back to work so I gota put this visa application on hold for a few weeks :o

I live in Phuket, so the flights and hotel bills are killing me.

Atleast it gives me a little more time to make the application better
