Petrol Station And Foreigner Robbed In Daylight Raid.

Petrol Station and Foreigner Robbed in Daylight Raid.

At around 11:00am on Saturday morning two teenagers riding a motorbike stopped in front of a pump at a petrol station in Jomtien and produced a gun which they used to demand the cashier hand over whatever money he had in his possession.

Confronted by the weapon the cashier sensibly complied and handed over approximately 10,000 baht in cash. Both young men were wearing helmets and before they made off, they pointed the gun at a foreigner who was in the petrol station at the time and demanded he hand over whatever cash he was carrying. The foreigner did as he was told and the pair then rode off.

No one noticed the number plates on the bike and police have little to go on as the foreigner decided not to wait for them to give a statement. Police surmise that the robbery was carried out by local youths who are currently on holidays from school. They are also disturbed by the fact the robbery occurred in broad daylight.

By jumping to conclusions, the officers involved might have been in danger of being referred to as buffaloes by their chief but he has now been sidelined so they are safe in that respect.
