Can someone tell me, when is the best time to transplant bamboo? I have done it before but dont remember when. Usually it lives. I think once I didnt plant deep enough because a few years later a windstorm blew the whole thing down.

Try just before the monsoon, also might try clumping types as they stand up to wind a little better.
