Thai Price Comparison Website

Featured Replies

While Googling around looking for a Thai stockist for a particular digital camera, I stumbled across GeeTang.com -

http://www.geetang.com/en/index.php

- which turns out to be a price comparison website for things like computers (right down to CPU's cards, screens, cases etc), cameras, musical instruments, electrical appliances, motorbikes etc. It says it's a "Beta Version" but already seems pretty good and useful to a] compare prices and b] maybe discover a stockist/supplier you didn't know about............ includes links to supplier's websites etc.......... in fact pretty much most of what you'd want. While none of these comparison sites is ever 100% comprehensive, still seems worth a look. :o

Given that it has just helped me identify a 40% saving on the camera, maybe worth adding the link to the pinned "On-line Computer/electronic Stores, Thailand" ?

looks pretty good

showed me the best price for the camera I bought last month at 150 baht lower than I got

Site added to the list already.

Thanks for that.

Cheers.

Great Sight.. Thank you.

Do you know if any of the shops do mail order?

If not great for a reference point to see what a fair price is...

Thank you for posting this.

I just looked through a few of the shop sites to get a feel of how well it worked - looks like some regularly do and some don't. As GeeTang says, you do need to check the price on the shop sites and so you can find out then whether they also operate mail order. From what I saw, there are always contact details via e-mail and 'phone, so it's not difficult to check with them. My impression is that most shops would be happy to send after payment - but maybe others have more experience of this aspect?

Also be aware that the cameras sold at most places listed may not be legal imports so will not have a manufactures guarantee here. They are guaranteed by the seller only. That said, if you live here you can often find prices a good bit lower and I used the site a few months ago to locate and purchase a camera.
