I just knew (through a gut feeling that I would get sone sort of hassle) with attaining my new Multi Non Immigrant B Visa in KL.

Apparently now you need a signiture at the bottom of your last work permit stamp by the Labor Dept. stating that you have permission to extend you B Visa afor another yr. I do a 3 month Visa so I don't have to deal with local SS. All the people that do what I do say that every time they go it changes.

They really are a Pain in the butt. I am under time constraints with some large projects so KL was the option.

Next time I am going back to my home country to get the B Visa. No hassles there plus I suppose I can catch up with some mates and family.

Ho Hum!!

Really a multi entry B visa seems kind of strange for someone working in Thailand. Seems like a multi entry B would be more for a person that maybe owns a business in Thailand and has to come multiple times to check on his business or a business man like myself that comes and goes all the time to countries in the region doing business with factories there. Seems like maybe they want people that are working in Thailand to get an extension of stay, since they will be remaining and working in Thailand.

In the general area here, I think it is pretty hard to get multiple entry b visas. I tried a while back and they only wanted to give me a single entry which did not make any sense for me since I would come in and out of Thailand at least once a month. Had to wind up getting it back in the US.

The thing is I had all the correct paper work. Only this signiture from the labour department was missing on my work permit. I had all my company papers, tax papers, Vat Paper, employment contact, Letter of employment, passport & work permit was at hand. I own the business and I export as well as do domestic business. I even do community water projects for schools etc.

I have turned this costly and time wasting negative into a positive as I did some networking that long term will be good for the company. I actually met an offshore guy in management and he is keen on what I have to offer in terms of the new technology I deal in. Plus my business contact here is looking at using some of what I have to offer as well. So stuff em I will forge ahead no matter what these a/holes throw at me.

Just have to plan a trip home (Reality check)! on a 15 month bases.

Got my mulit entry non B in Malaysia no problems.

Hi,

I cant seem to find a clear answer to what documents are required when applying for a 1yr Multi Non B visa. (NOT extension of stay)

Last year I got one in my home country (super easy, just wrote it myself as MD of my company), this year I'm thinking of staying around and trying to get one closer by.Malaysia if possible, maybe Indonesia or Japan.

Clearly it won't be as easy as at home, but still possible as Joskydive and some other members on the forum have reported.

Joskydive, could you tell me where in Malaysia you went for your visa & what documents you had to bring exactly?

Found some old posts on TV saying:

"Documents supplied were 1 set of accounts, verified share holders list, Copies of tax returns, company registration document and 1 work permit with a one year validity stamp, company invitation letter and 2 passport photos"

Other posts talk about people showing up at the embassy with all the papers that are actually only required for the extension of stay procedure (which you do @ the immigration office in Thailand and has stricter requirements)

So any enlightenment on the documents that i should present, would be well appreciated. TIA

I don't need to download any forms, as most embassies and consulates have their own, correct?

My company is in it's second year now, so I can supply most papers as well (except for Social security and VAT), including WP.

Have a nice day, or night!
