Hi

I know the process and the requirements.

My question is about the recent experience of a person in the same position:

Extension (it will be my 3rd one) of a retirement visa based on the 800K thb. Suan Phlu office.

I'll have the money on the bank account since 3 months.

The point is "what does state the bank letter" in 2008? In the past, it was "this customer has more than 800 K on the account and he received more than 800 K during the past year".

Does the bank letter need to states clearly "this guy has more than 800 K since more than 90 days"? If yes, are Kasikorn bank staff head office aware (I always goes there and usually they are smart and helpful)?

Of course any input of recent visit at Suan Phlu about this topic is welcome.

What are current "special sensitive issue" of the officers?

Thank you

Hey, how'd that other post slip away, I didn't hit "add reply!"

I've seen different format bank letters from different banks.  In any case, reckon the xerox copy of your bank book will show the baht 800k in place for the required three months, hopefully....

My last retirement extension in February the gal at Immigration only wanted my Embassy letter showing income, the bank book and letter showin gbaht 250k (eligible under the grandfather rule) was too confusing for her even when I laid out a copy of the Police regulation.

I went to SP this morning to inquire. The Lady at the Information desk told me, first of all, that now the "during 3 months" stuff is not requited anymore. Well, she spoke in Thai and I could misunderstand but I think it's what she told me.

As I asked more information, she told me to go in the big "extension office". I did not because you can imagine how busy was this room the next Monday after Songkran.
