Hello all, I'm looking to learn more Thai and just found this thread/site.

What is the phrase that means something like,

"If you walk next to me and bump me I will kick you"

I would like to learn some Phrases that express apreciation of a womans looks or body, as all farangs do :o

Cheers,

Cheers,

Kun Suei Muan Tep Ti Da - You are beautiful as an angel

Kun Taeng Tua Suei Mak - You are dressed very nice

Kun Na Rak Ti Sut - You are most cute

Kun Suei Jang Loei - You are really very beautiful

The IF/THEN sentences are built like in English without the "THEN"

If you kiss me, I will be happy.

The word for "if" is "Ta".

Ta Kun Mai Nae, Check ik krang (if you are not sure, check again)

Ta Kun Pai Sai, Ran Ja Pit (If you will go late the shop will close)

Sounds like a great way to start learning Thai.

How about: "If I don't like the way your body looks, I will kick you."

Thanks great examples of "If"

Kun Suei Muan Tep Ti Da, I thought angel was "Nung Far" Far as in sky and dont know what Nung is

and what is "Ti"

เทพธิดา (tep ti daa) is one of many words for an angel in Thai.

นางฟ้า (naang faa) like you mentioned is an angel also. นาง lady, woman. ฟ้า sky.

"Ti" is halp of the word "Ti Da" ธิดา meaning "daughter', an original Pali word.

"Tep" เทพ means "angel" or "deity".

You can find this word in the Thai name of Bangkok: "Grung Tep" - กรุงเทพ - "city of angles".

These four words can be used for Angle:

เทวี - Tae Wi

เทวดา - Tae Wa Da

เทพธิดา - Tep Ti Da

นางฟ้า - Nang Fa

Here's a few more 'angel' words;

ทูตสวรรค์ tuut sa wan

เทพย tep pa ya

เทพบุตร tep but

อัปสร ap pa sawn

By the way, in a sentence like "he is an angel" you use another word:

คนที่ใจดี - Kon Ti Jai Di (a good person).

Other combinations: เทพยดา , เทวทูต
