11 provinces warned of heavy rains

BANGKOK: -- The Meteorological Department Friday warned residents of 11 provinces to brace themselves for heavy rains Friday and Saturday.

The department warned that a strong low pressure ridge over upper central and eastern regions coupled with the southwest monsoon wind would cause heavy rains in Tak, Mae Hong Son, Kanchanaburi, Uthai Thani, Prachinburi, Chanthaburi, Trat, Chuphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, and Phang Nga.

7 provinces warned of heavy rains

BANGKOK: -- The Meteorological Department warned residents of seven provinces to brace themselves for heavy rains Saturday and Sunday.

The seven provinces are Tak, Mae Hong Son, Phrae, Sukhothai, Phichit, Phetchabun, and Sa Kaew.

The department said the rains would be unleashed by influence of a low pressure ridge over the North and Northeast coupled with the influence of the southeast monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand.

Chiang Rai, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit warned of heavy rains

BANGKOK: -- The Meteorological Department Sunday warned residents of Chiang Rai, Nan, Phrae and Uttaradit to brace themselves for heavy rains.

The department said the rains would be unleashed by the influence of a low pressure ridge over the North and Northeast coupled with the influence of the southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea.
