Shot at 2.15 p.m in overcast conditions - original attached

I was in the process of adjusting the shot as a monotone image when I accidentally hit the colour restore button - the effect amazed me!

Maybe a little OTT but, well.................... what do you think?

Very nice, thank you for sharing it with us "The Vulcan".

A few folks on Pbase also post photos like your on the left.

I like the effect especially the contrast of the sky and cloud.

Color of the boat is acceptable to me (reminds me of Maltese boat) but the rocks look too surreal and seem to have lost the depth feel to them and look as it you have pasted cut-out images on the photo. When I took photography course in college way before the days of digital camera and photoshop we painted B&W photos to create images like this. But I guess it's not appreciated or encouraged anymore as it's no longer considered creative after the release of photoshop. :o

The fluorescent colours remind me of images taken with x-ray film, or was it infra red?

I have been hunting to find some links, but no luck so far.

It was all down to the film loaded in the camera, so possibly lost in this digital era.

Thanks for sharing.

It shows we should be prepared to experiment. :o

Hope you don't mind but I borrowed your photo for a couple of days and used it as my wall paper. I've now returned it good condition. The picture is stunning - thanks for sharing.

Nice effect!

Do you use cs2 or cs3?

Try Adobe LIGHTROOM (free for 30days) magnificent program for postprocessing your pictures.

Used CS2 on this but will have CS3 when Imac arrives.

Have Lightroom V1.4.1 which I use extensively - just evaluating beta V2 at present and as I said the above was an accident whilst hitting the wrong buttons on this new beta - worked out nicely :o
