Long story short, tomorrow has a wisdom tooth to go...see also the wisdom tooth thread for more details.

I have a certain phobea towards syringes and don't really like the idea of a local anaesthesia.

Discussed this with the dentist and she recommended valium. I had a shot of dormicum for another small surgery a while ago and it is great stuff!

Any other recommendations? Xanax? N2O?

Is demoral(sp) one of the common ones any more?

They gave me something via injection for a colonoscopy and "Bam" I was out, didn't remember a thing. The doctor sure was happy though? I wonder what that was about?

General anaesthetic!!!

I had 4 out under a general, and they had to remove part of my lower jaw bone to get them out. Have a nice sleep for a few hours, but your chest will hurt when you wake up - apparently something to do with the surgeon kneeling on it for leverage.
