Does anyone know a good reliable gardner has we have been told of a couple but they have both not turned up when they said they were coming.

People will probably have to know in what area do you live to make a recommendation.

What I ended up having to do was contact the landscaper closest to my house and arrange for her to send "gardners" on her payroll (i.e., I pay her once a month). That way she keeps her work force fully employed and loyal to her. I get the experienced and knowledgable gardners (they know so much more about plants than the previous people we used); I just have to be flexible as they might come Saturday this week and Friday next time.
