Hey guys, i searched the forum and found on results on how long the drive will be from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok in a Malaysian registered car. Is the drive safe? like the route or highway?

I asked a couple of people and they say its dangerous.

Just want to get everyone's opinion.

The journey is approx 1700km, and it will take about 20-22 hours of driving/meal breaks, not including overnight if you want to do that.

I did it 9 years ago, it was quite safe and uneventful, and the road conditions now are definitely better [there were a lot of road works South of Surat Thani during those years].

Better plan on a co-driver as well.
