Just barely. By the way, crossy has posted his link several times before in this forum so I doubt he would have a problem with us doing the same. His site is much better than the original website. He really spent a lot of time collecting all the documents together for each of the house plans.

Not an issue at all chaps, that's why I got the stuff together. Incidentally, I do have Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to go with the plans, just not got round to adding them to the site.

Back on topic, Steve Haigh who is the registered owner of buildingthailand.com is a TV user (and still active), perhaps he can enlighten us as to why his excellent site has vanished.

When I first came here, it was all pretty predictable. Nights out, bars, always somewhere busy. That was the routine. These days it’s different. Quieter, less going out. I still drop in now and then, but it’s not the center of things anymore. The scene itself feels different too.Fewer girls around, or just moved online? Prices definitely not what they used to be Thailand not quite the “cheap” place it once was So sometimes I wonder… has the place changed, or have I? Do you still live the same

Comfort of course, we all do. And having the aircon ON is part of the equation. But there is difference with a moderate gentle aircon cooling and how in some Grab cars or restaurants it's put in full throttle and you almost need a light sweater.

Re infrastructure upgrades, many have often said Thailand is just Cambodia with a shiny capital city centre, shopping malls and rapid transit. Get outside of the city into 'bannock' and not a whole lot looks different (IMO). Poverty still very apparent. People getting by day to day with peasant farming still a large way of life for the large majority there. The retail shop owners in those places seem to be primarily the grandchildren of Chinese migrants. The only ones who had any capital I guess.
