Video Of Fire At Burma Embassy Bkk

Featured Replies

This is a video taken by me with my Samsung cell phone of the burning of the Burmese Embassy today [26May08].

The embassy is located a few doors down from the school where I teach and my classroom overlooks the grounds.

As you can see it was quite a blaze.

It began around 8am in the morning just as our classes had begun.

One might guess that the fire was started by protesters against the Junta government that is preventing aide to enter Burma. But some are now speculating that it was the Govt itself trying to create an excuse for not issuing Visas. The visa section is in the very building that burned to the ground.

Some news reprots claim it was a 2nd floor fire, but this video shows it was much more extensive.

Cheers

:o That is one massive fire! 2nd floor my arse, the while building is up in flames and is endangering the surrounding buildings also. I hope nobody was seriously injured.

Great video Paul!

:o 2nd floor my arse

Gotta agree! Easy to see the fire in the first floor windows!

Tut, tut. Next you'll be telling me that you don't believe the junta's claim that more than 92 per cent of voters approved a military-backed constitution last week. :o

That is NO coincidence ... shit big stuff
