Hello to all, like I wrote, I got in contact to the consulate in Hongkong (where I got a multiple entry visa a couple of years ago), and wanna "report", what information I got!

First of all, I called my mail contact, today, to talk about our long mailcommunication, and to clear the last points.

So I got told, that there is a request from the Immigration department, to denie multiple visas to people, STAYING all year in Thailand, and to people, staying mostly always the 90 day period, before they going only for a short visa-stamp-run. Single entry and (if needed) reentry visas are their possibilitie!

Actually, it's that, what some (and some didnt, I know, so we need to find out, which one now are the offers) consulate and embassys in Europe (as closer to the embassy, as more a Consul is a Thai, as more they did) did in the past, too. (I checked by calling my hometown consulate, they told me the same story!

So it looks only (and that makes a bit sence), that it comes slowly to the "normal" way, to grant multiple visas: Someone, VISITING Thailand many times a year, but NOT holding a WP and living/working always here, as much as married people VISITING, not residencing here, are be able, to get these multiple visas.

(Example the 3 year multiple B, NO WORK PERMITED)

All the others should extend (the Immigration would like to improve the acceptance) their stay in Thailand!

Actually, I remember these, now, that I heard about this many years ago, and that this was a reason, for sending my Passport once to a consulate by post, cause my hometown consul wouldnt give it!

That means, to complete, and to stop speculating, why some people get one: You still will be able, to get a non B, if you apply for a wp, and you probably will get the multiple B, after you got the wp.

But after one year, and probably 4 or 5 entrys only, they think, maybe, you do not need a multiple again, saving you money and time. And also, cause you are paying tax, they should give you the possibility, that you not have to leave (O.-ton from the consulate, what the Imm-Dep. is annoncing), before you can stay, again!

So, is anyone knowing a consulate in the areas around Thailand, that still give Non-B multiple, to people with lots of 90 day stays in their passports?

I got told today, that someone got one in penang, but I still wait for some more details, means, history of these "someone's passport" in Thailand.

Disclaimer: I write only about the informations, that I got, in the last 2 weeks, and I would be the first one, who would like to see this wrong! So please, it is not my fault, I am only the beare, not the author!

(we are in thailand, I had the feeling, its better to mention this!)

The latest post I saw about getting a multiple-entry non-B visa in the regions was this one:

Thx, Maestro, I've been there already, found it over your "info-post".

I try to get a couple of informations about his history with wp and non-B's in his Passport, to understand, why he got it, and my one got refused to Single, 2-3 weeks ago.

Some information would be helpfull, to verify "up to discretion", or "up to your pers. luck", or "up to some regulations, that we have to look for, at time".

But till now, he didn't reply, but I saw, that my first question, that I thought, it went to Nirvana, is online, too.

So I ask in that post two times, more or less the same, sorry about that!

thank you
