I am curious what expats who live in thailand do with their time. Some work i suppose but what else do you do. Golf, cook, travel, beach, study. Just curious.

I just chill with the Mrs and go to the gym, eat long lunches and even longer dinners and just have a good time. I do so many weeks of work and then I am off for the same amount of time so I can relax when I am here. Not being my home and being a rented appt. it can get boring though but then it's time for me to go back to work.

Go to friends houses, BBQs, long brunches etc

Work during the day, evenings with the family, mornings for writing, and in-between I pop in and out of ThaiVisa. Weekends a bit of rest.

I like to read a lot, i also like to walk.

i am trying to get to grips with motorcycles because it's a bit hot here to be wearing yourself out, but i am very afraid of the roads.

Sleep a full night, log onto ThaiVisa and other addictive forums, take my pills, play FreeCell, check my emails, eat fresh fruit, more forums. Ride my bike to the pool, swim no more than four hours, head home. Smell the flowers, take a nap. Read more ThaiVisa, play FreeCell, edit my novel, check my emails again, maybe walk the dog, eat dinner, maybe go out for the evening, play FreeCell, go to bed, repeat as needed.

Retirement is not as exciting as my old career, but after you have disallowed $3,000 of donations to a girlfriend and found $8,000 of unreported income and assessed the negligence penalty, it's boring day after day, also.

thankyou all for your generous replies. I thought that I would get a lot of crap answers but on the whole they were very informative. Again thankyou.
