I'm late on my 90-day reporting due to stupidy and

the airport hotels immigration desk being temporarly closed. I'm very busy

during the week, my question is "Can i still send someone to report for me

and pay the fine?" also.. What must i prepare for them if so?

thanks in advanced

There is a 7 day window in which you can report. So you can report 7 days late with no fine.

Next time if you are busy you can report by post.

Not sure about someone else reporting for you if you are late.

You have a 14 day window to report but if more than 7 days late expect you may have to pay the fine yourself - for normal reporting you can have someone else do for you. The airport hotel desk appears to be permanently closed and moved to a remote location.

If you want to try fill out and sign the TM.47 form and include another note asking that xxx report for you and sign/date that. Don't believe it is normally required but if a fine involved it might help.

It is my understanding that if you report late (due date +7 days +++) the foreigner has to go in person to do the report.

The standard 'power of attorney' form may help to let somebody else do it, but not sure about this.

Not so clear details

The max penalty:

Section 76 : Any alien, alien, who fails to comply with the provisions of Section 37(2),(3),(4)or(5) shall be

punished with a fine not exceeding 5,000 Baht and with and additional fine not exceeding 200 Baht for

each day which passes until the law is complied with.

Lopburi,

am asking just out of curiosity:

does the 'daily fine' of 200B start from the 'reporting due date' or from the 'reporting due date + 7 days grace period' ?

I removed a "clear" comment as do not know if they count from due date (I suspect) allow for the 7 days or start count at entry day (which could get real expensive). So far most people have only received 2,000 baht fines but from what is being said that may be ending and more severe fines imposed.

Yes you can do 90 day report at Rasa Tower II on 16th floor.

Lop

I've only done one 90 day report since I have lived here...and can't remember if I had to take a ticket or not.

Do I have to queue, for a ticket, or can I walk straight up to the office on the 2nd floor...I know where the office is as I organised a 'proof of address' letter from there a few weeks ago. If so I can wander in sometime during the day.

Thanks...ps sorry if I jumped in on someones elses thread

Well if you are talking about Rasa Tower it is not the 2nd floor last time I was there. It is floor 16. And they (last month) have a queue card on side of counter at the 90 day reporting position. You take and wait.

If Suan Phlu last time I was there it was on ground floor and you got ticket at main ticket position and then went to counter area to wait.
