Hi There

Movin out to Thailand soon.Im in the Uk now and use AOL.I chat to my gf there in BKK on yahoo and her connection is crap.She gets d/c and her connection is sooooo slow.What is the best ISP to use there and is it a case of....wot u pay for is wot u get?

What you pay for is NOT what you get. I have come to the conclusion that it is where you are located. Five people can have the same provider and one of them has GREAT service but the other four have crap. Good luck finding a fast connection, you're going to have to be lucky.

Been using True for 7 years....very fast in my location in Bangkok.

KSC for a blazing fast connection everytime. Although substantially more expensive than other providers, I highly recommend them for anyone wanting a premium connection.

Cheers....thats the answer ive been hoping for..The reply from GaryA was something i had heard of before but my gf told me too that you can pay for different connection speeds...Ill keep this ksc in mind.How much is it for the top connection plz and do u pay like in the uk on a 1 year subscription?

Been using True for 7 years....very fast in my location in Bangkok.

Ill probably be movin to Bkk too,so do u agree with GaryA?...he says ur connection cud be good for u but another person in Bkk might have (True ) and not be as fast as urs? Do u agree with him that its just pot luck with the area u live in?

Not sure of KSC's latest plan pricing as I am on an old contract. I suggest you email KSC at [email protected] for their current promotions (which are often not listed on their site). You can pay yearly if desired but most subscribers pay monthly in Thailand.

Cheers....ill contact them when i get there.......Can the monthly payment be taken from a bank account each month as direct debit?...and how much do u think it will cost?

Not sure about direct debit. In my case, they send an invoice monthly by postal mail and I pay this at 711, or at any number of banks. You can also pay by credit card. I believe they have revamped their plan charges so I'm not in touch with their latest promotions, however expect to pay a substantial premium over other providers, especially the likes of True who are well known for serious 'over-selling'.

According to the flyer that I got in last months AIS phone bill they have to be considered because they have proclaimed themselves to be my ISP and defined it to mean "Internet Sex Provider"

Anyone else get the same flyer?

I am using Ji-net 1 mb plan, works great but would like 2 mb but on my true line van not get. thinking of moving to KSC and trying the 2MV plan... What speed do you have and what speed do you get on USA servers?? KSC price is 4,900 THB for 2 mb and about 7,000 for 4 mb. Ji-net is 1,900 for 1 MB, and yes I get full speed of 850 day or night, if I could get a 2 MB connection to work this good I would be very happy....True is the worst, they use port shapeing or block some ports totally...I think Trur bought KSC a few years back so I worry about that

Im on AOL broadband in the uk....I got 8Mbps speed....to give u an example...a 3 min video clip takes 10 seconds to download here
