June 15, 200817 yr Hi all, Wanted to start saving money to buy an M3 in the near future. The M3 is kicked the sh1t out of it in a direct comparison between a Porsche GT3 and a Nissan GT-R. And they are in the same price class. Go here:
June 15, 200817 yr But the M3 is semi-practical as it's based on a normal-use platform. It can still haul ass but not like the GT3 or GTR.
June 16, 200817 yr But the M3 is semi-practical as it's based on a normal-use platform. It can still haul ass but not like the GT3 or GTR. Who cares, they are all nice cars... Just buy what you want... The M3 has a good reputation becuase it is a good car... Porche, how much would one service cost?? If you have to save to buy one I dont think you should buy it... Guess the service will be quite expensive... The GTR is a good car, too bad it is a Nissan (this is Thailand) and would be worthless in a few years... But hey, buy the car you want, ignore the rest of us jealous bastards...
June 16, 200817 yr and remember, buying these cars in Thailand are not cheap, a 2005 M3 @ 5.5 Million THB...
June 16, 200817 yr Oh and interval servicing for the GTR means taking the engine out of the bay for an overhaul.
June 16, 200817 yr I bought a new M3 in the UK a few years ago, to me the total package 'a load of s@@t', totally impractible for normal use, even more so over here I would have thought. I've now got a 520D, some motor car and the 525 is probable better as its somewhat smoother. Anyway I suppose if you want a little flyer save your pennies, if you have to and go for it. Just remember that you are always better with a new one as at least you know that hasn't had any 'little body repairs'.
