Last week i was been told that s'one can get a Work permit if he/she has a Non Immigr O visa ;

i could hardly believe it ! Am i right ? i always have thought that you only can get a WP when you have a Non Immigr B visa, am i right ?

It depends based on what the extension of stay is granted. For instance if based on married to a Thai you can get a workpermit. Based on retirement might be difficult, but seems to depend on the local labour office.

Unless you are married to a Thai, you will normally require a B visa before obtaining a Work Permit.
