Garmin Poi Data

Gents,

Thought of starting a thread on POI 's ( points of interest ). To pre-empt the self righteous, this is not about breaking the law ( with the price of fuel these days, who wants to speed) , rather a way of checking on your speedometer your speed so when the cops pull u over, you know what your real speed was verus what the may trump up ( yes, have experienced guesstimates).

FYI

1. Format is Longitude, Lattidude, topic@speed ( so below is sample of long / lat , Police Radar@85kmh - my estimate of what they will accept )

2. Look on the net for the POI loader. Just plug in your Garmin, click on the loader, and in 2 secs ur updated. the lines below you just copy and paste into a Notepad file called poi.csv ( or what ever u want .csv). Any questions, IM me.

Cant upload CSV to TV for some reason.

Recent trip down to Hua Hin, plenty of "Toll Booths"

A guy who i met down there who came down for the meeting in a Taxi, told me there were 3 pay offs from his taxi driver ( which ultimately comes from the passenger in one way or another) to the cops - 200, 200 and 100 baht respectively.

If you have "POIEdit" programme, can easy see where these places are.
