Looking to rent a 1 bdr pool villa in Phuket for 3 night in August. Budget about USD$200 a night. Right now looking at Andaman White Beach for about 5,000 baht per night. Anyone else have good experiences or have recommendations?

Andaman White Beach is really secluded. Is that what you are after? You are not going to be near any nightlife, shopping etc. They've got you captured.

Kata Beach Resort has new pool villas.

Hi huggybear, I'm doing this for my gf's birthday so not after nightlife. I used to live in Phuket before the tsunami so I know my way around pretty well already and will just hire a car for 3 days. I'm only curious to see if any new villas have come online since I left and might be worth checking out. Thanks for your tip on Kata Beach Resort. Will check them out when I have time. If this post is in the wrong forum sorry and hope the moderators move it to where they think it belongs
