onpermanentvacation
I am now in 4th day of my overstay. I got here on a tourist visa two months ago but decided to stay. So my credit card has been stolen couple days ago and I haven't been able to extend my visa since I have no money. Do you think I should go to immigration, explain my situation and ask for a short extension till I get my new CC? Or I should just wait and let the 500B/day keep adding up? Thanks in advance for any advice! My passport is Bosnia & Herzegovina and my age is 28.

onpermanentvacation
Well, thank you Briggsy, but I wish I wasn't in this type of interesting situation.
Crossy
Task A notify your card company, will they send a new card to Thailand? Task B get a police report of your stolen card Task C take the police report to immigration and see what they say, any extension will cost 1900Baht Best to sort this quickly rather than let your costs mount (along with the danger of being picked up on overstay). Do you have someone at home who can send some cash via Western Union? EDIT For future trips, it's always wise to ensure you have an alternative means of getting cash, a second card or some travellers cheques. Obviously keep this seperate from your main card. Good luck. NHJ
there's something wrong with the date, your card has been stolen two days ago and you're on the 4th day of overstay. you could get the extension before the cards were stolen...

I didn't say two days, I said a couple of days. Maybe I don't use that word correctly but what I meant was 3-4 days. Anyway, thanks for the advice everyone. I had my sister send me some money via WU today and I'll go to Immigration tomorrow. 2500 baht wasted but I guess I'll be more careful next time. As for the police advice.. I don't know, I'm not sure I want to get involved with the police if I don't have to.. Thanks again!
Lite Beer
You will probably only get a 7 day extension. Will give you a few days to sort something out.

onpermanentvacation
Now you too, Astral? Now I am pretty sure that "a couple of" doesn't mean two but rather a small unspecified number.
percy2
A couple is usually two, a few normally refers to a small unspecified number. To be fair to you and your situation, I was going to suggest you contact your embassy / consulate. After spending 15 minutes trying to track down the BKK BH embassy/consulate I gave up. Where is it anybody? Cheers

sibeymai
My advice would be to make up a sign explaining the situation and hang around the BTS between Asoke and Siam stations. Seems to work well for others.
