Hello,

Just wondering if anyone can help me.

I live in the UK, and I'll be going to Bangkok in late August. I want to be able to get a 2 month tourist visa, and then apply for an extra 30 days which will be followed by me going to Japan. (just finished high school and will be travellingl).

When I am in Japan, I might be (pretty sure) wanting to come back to Thailand. I'm just wondering how I can do this (if there is any way?). If I come back to Thailand from Japan, can I get another visa? Or is there a special visa which allows me to travel between the countries?

Also, how can I actually apply for a visa? I've read that I have to go to the Thai embassy and apply (which is far away from me), however my friend who is going to Thailand has just sent away for his by post.

Finally (sorry for the amount of questions), do I need a flight ticket out of Thailand to be able to apply for a visa?

Appreciate any help

Thanks :o

If you obtain a two entry tourist visa with a validity of six months that would probably take care of your trip to Thailand and return from Japan. A bit more expensive would be a multi entry non immigrant O visa from Hull. That would be valid for unlimited entry for one year. Both can be obtained by mail. Normally airline tickets are not required for visa issue in home country.

Hello,

Thanks for the help :o

Just another question - I am only planning to buy a one way ticket to Thailand, and when I'm in Thailand I will buy a ticket to Japan (because I don't know how long I will stay in Thailand).

Just to confirm, do I need an onward/return ticket (out of Thailand) to be able to board the plane to Thailand with one of these visas? (seeing people say something about needing an onward ticket for the airline to let you board the plane but I'm not sure in which situation).

Appreciate help once again :D
