Journalist Robbed at Gunpoint of Camera.

On Sunday night a 29-year-old female Thai journalist (who works for the Banglamung Cable TV network) went to Banglamung Police Station to report the theft of her bag which contained a camera, mobile phone, and a wallet containing money, an ATM card and other personal items.

The woman explained she had been out working, recording the details of a wedding and reception for use on television and returned to her rented room in Naklua. Out the front of her apartment block she was bailed up by two Thai men, one of whom pointed a pistol at her and demanded she hand over the bag containing the camera and other items.

While the journalist was registering the armed robbery with police, another two Thai females came to the station to also complain that two Thai males on a motorbike had held them up at gunpoint in Soi 14, Naklua.

The men were scared off before stealing any items as other vehicles began to come down the soi. Police skillfully noted the similarities in the modus operandi of the three robberies and have reached the conclusion they were committed by the same pair of criminals.
