2 cases of suicide from Banglamung.

We now report on two cases of suspected suicide.

The first comes from house number 78 in Huoy Yai Municipality which is used as staff quarters for the Thai-Lamtong Company. Police Major Grit from Banglamung Police Station was called to the location on Sunday Afternoon to investigate reports that a 72 year old Thai Man had apparently hung himself. At the scene, Police inspected the body of Khun Boonchoi.

He had hung himself using a length of nylon. According to his daughter, Khun Chiengrai aged 47, who found the body of her Father, the victim was concerned about his family who were experiencing many domestic and financial problems and he had already mentioned that his family would be better of without him. Police inspected the body and surrounding area and are confident that a third-party was not involved in his death which has been recorded as a suicide.

The second case comes from Soi Nong-get 1 in Nong Pla Lai sub-district. Police Lieutenant Nitipoom from Banglamung Police Station made his way to a house occupied by the 17 year old victim and his 25 year old girlfriend, Khun Nasudar.

She discovered the young boy’s body in the toilet. He had hung himself using electric cable. Khun Nasudar explained to Police that the pair had been together for more than one year. The victim was unaware that she already had a Husband and family in another Province and when he found out, he became extremely upset and suicidal even though the relationship with her former Husband was over.

Police recorded the case as a suicide.
