Hi Nignoy,

When I investigated this a couple of years ago it appeared it couldn't be done as one leg. Thus it was either via K.L. or Singapore (as the obvious route) and Silk Air or Air Asia seemed to offer the best.

A good friend of mine went last year from Phuket and went Air Asia via K.L. to Denpassar.

It might be worth trying it via Singapore with say Tiger, then Merpati to Bali or other.

Good Luck and let us know what you come up with as it's an interesting exercise.

P.S. Just had a thought, try Donna, as she lives there now and must have travelled from here to there.

a very easy task. two ways to go there.

1) Air Asia HKT - KUL, then connect to KUL - DPS

unfortunately, the schedule is not very convenient for this connection. flights from Phuket arrive in KUL at 10.30 and 15.45, and the flights to DPS depart at 10.55, 11.20 and 16.45.

its impossible to get the 11.20 flight of u arrive at 10.30, the check-in counter closes exactly at 10.35, and u have to go through malaysian immigration first.

the only chance is to arrive at 10.30 in KUL, then fly out of KUL to DPS at 16.45.

2) Tiger Airways, HKT - SIN, then connect to JETSTAR (operated by ValuAir) SIN - DPS

unfortunately, the schedule again is everything but convenient.

arrive at SIN at 12.10 noon by Tiger, change terminal, then fly out of SIN at 19.05

the AirAsia connection wins, and is usually much cheaper as well (some seats on the HKT - KUL flight can be booked for 30 Baht plus Taxes at the moment)
