It is inevitable that a good word becomes bad. Peace, tolerance, love, acceptance. Words to denote badness, like damnation and hellfire, become so good they have to be banned on internet forums. The ministry of information becomes just the opposite. Hot becomes cold, etc. Didn't George Orwell write about that before 1984?

PC was in it's heyday in the early 90's, especially at my alma mater UCSC, it was intolerable

In the late 70's I went to UCSC; it was very politically incorrect back then. Most people were leaning left while the rest of the country was leaning right.

Didn't someone once say, " I will fight to the death to oppose fascism, but I will also fight to the death for your right to be a fascist" or words to that effect.

Since I have been coming on here I have been flamed for my work (living off the backs of other peoples misery), my religion of birth (Judaism) and have had to put up with Nazi's, Fascists, Bullies and people whose opinion I do not agree with. Worst of all I have put up with the posts that say nothing and threads that are totally pointless. As well as threads that have been answered 100's of times before.

I have also been given advice that has saved me thousands, advice that has not saved me a baht but has been excellent, enjoyed games and debates.

Overall i would say that it is never going to be PC until the bigots are banned but the day that happens I will probably go looking for somewhere else to waste my time on
