This morning it gave me 2 superb A4 colour prints - but then decided - without warning - to go Da-Da?

Now, all prints are heavy with an orange/yellow tint etc.

Have searched various menus - but no luck so-far?

Can anybody suggest some other self-checks I could try out?

I suspect that the problem is within the printer s/w i.e ink is not flowing correctly - but beyond that - have no idea how to fix things.

Want to try and avoid bring it someplace for repair :D

Start with the nozzle check, when my Epson starts doing crazy things like that it's often because an ink cartridge is empty but not reading as empty on the chip.

Thanks Crossy.

All ink cartridges - using external tanks - are full.

Nozzle check is also OK.

Use the printer test /maintance menus to print any test images - or simply knock up a basic image in MSPAINT.EXE of the basic colors and a few patterns.

Empty or broken ink unit is most likely.

I have the same model with fitted external ink wells. Try using under maintenance use the ink cartridge replacement tab & pull out the 4 ink holders & replug them in. If your tubes have gaps of no ink in them you will probably need to take it in for a 200 baht tuneup. If the ink lines are full do the reinstall followed by head cleaning once or twice. mine does this when i print a lot of color docs & pictures. It is most likely not receiving ink to the cartridges. Make sure when it is doing the ink charge it really does the ink charge - if it does not take a little while(it shows it doing it in the progress bar) repeat again . Good luck with this model with ink wells you have to be persistent!

Maybe you download the latest SSC Utility for Epson Printer from HERE, install and run them. There will be a small Icon in system launch (lower right), right click on that to get the service options. Here you can also reset the chips manually and much more.

Cheers.

Thanks for all those suggestions guys!

Much appreciated.
