Death On Sukhumvit Soi 11?

Just passed by a covered up body on soi 11, and plenty of people standing around. Anyone knows what happened?

I walked by there shortly after the ambulance arrived. A Thai bystander told me that a Japanese man had jumped from a bldg (think it was a hotelabout 6 or 8 stories tall) next to Twisted Republic. He was covered in a sheet. No other details.

He was a Japanese tourist who's been visiting Thailand since ten days ago. He jumped from the 8th floor balcony of the service apartment he was staying. His family in Japan has been contacted. His body will be cremated in Thailand and arrangement is being made for his ashes to be brought to Japan. No motive has been established yet as to the cause of suicide.

Apparently he was a right mess, bone, brain hanging out etc... A friend of a girl I know actually saw the guy hit the floor, he was such a horizontal distance away from the balcony by the time he hit the floor that he must have taken a running jump I was told...

Yeah, i was actually thinking about that when i saw him lying there, right above him was no window or anything.

aw, that's sad. i would be scared to jump from the 8th floor myself just in case i survived. i would definitely pick a floor in the 20s at least. looks like he lucked out though.
