Queens birthday. I understand a lot of places will be closed.

My point exactly - the Queen's Birthday is not a Buddhist holiday . . . .

not closed for the last few years on the queens birthday ,left much up to the bar owners if they want to open or close

Great, only thing you guy worry about is the bars going to open so you can consume some more alcohol.

The point of me posting was to tell the OP that, as I had said before, the Queen's Birthday is NOT a Buddhist holiday, and that he was therefore mistaken in assuming the bars would be closed, that's all. I'm not a drinker . . . . .

Don't worry about little twerps like him, every time this question of bar opening times comes up one of these holy joes pop up with such cr@p. I wonder where nowhereman was yesterday? I bet he wasn't down the local Wat making merit to her majesty.

The King's birthday used to be a no alcohol day many years back, then the bars started opening selling beer in tea mugs. I think it is still the same, the bars are open but subdued lighting and no/quiet music is the order of the day. But I don't recall the Queen's birthday ever being a dry day. Of course all this is conjecture as the rules change every year in line with the local BiB's latest crack down list and how near the end of the month they are (funds getting low).

I like to see you say that to my face, but I think you better have a few to get yourself brave enough.

I wish similarly wish yesterday had been a dry day too. I drank more vodka than Moscow.

Reading posts from Internet Hard Men still raises a chuckle though. :D
