Well, first of all, you definitely need not worry about cleanliness and safety at Yanhee, it is an international standard hospital and fine in that respect.

Yanhee is quite popular with Thais, iits clients include many Thai movie stars etc. The only point I am not sure of is how much experience they have in doing breast augmentations on Western women. If you are Asian then this is no concern, but if you are western be advised that Thai women are significantly different in build (just try to buy a bra in Thailand and you'll see what I mean) and the same implant devices and procuedures that provide a good cosmetic result for them will not necessarily do so for a westerner. So you want to be sure that the surgeon you get has done a lot of procedures on western women, prefrrably worked for a while in the west.

The only surgeon I've seen named by readers who had BA at Yanhee is Dr. Greechart, who has gotten favorable reviews but this was for BA done on a Thai spouse.

I suggest checking the qualifications of the surgeons there and looking specifically for one who has worked in a western coun try or ask for one who has definitely done many procuedures on western patients.

There have been a number of threads on this topic in this forum, use the search function and review trhem as lots of useful info (kindly disregard the wise cracks which are unfortunately interspersed)

I'm going to have to interject here. While I do agree that the Thai female structure is different, significantly is a poor choice of words (We are all human after all). And this should not have a profound effect on the outcome of a routine surgery like Breast Augmentation performed by a competent surgeon.

Dr. Greechart is an excellent choice as is Dr. Pitch.

As Ms. Sheryl mentioned, there should be no concerns towards the cleanliness of the facility.

Safety - You are contemplating cosmetic surgery - There are risks associated regardless of where you go.

The concern I was getting at was not a differnce in terms of complications, as you say, human body is human body. But a difference in cosmetic result.

There are no internal differences but the shape, build, size etc of Thai women differs enormously from that of most western women...which is why nearly all western women, regarkless of how "well endowed"find it impossible to find a bra here that fits. It's not just breast size but also size of shoulders, back, overall torso and size of breasts relative to same. What the average Thai frame can carry well breast-wise in terms of both comfort and appearance is not the same as what works well for the average western frame. The same size and type of implants that look great on a Thai may not look well at all on a western frame.

It's not a question of the surgical procedure per se, it's a question of being able to assess the likely cosmetic result of impants of size X, type Y on a specific body, and that in turn draws a lot on experience.

Yanhee hospital is good and cheap. Most thais go there to make cosmetic surgery.

I have a friend who made abdominal surgery there after her pregnancy and when she woke up she had no bellybutton.

She asked the doctor and he had forgotten to make one.

She had to go through surgery again but her bellybutton does not look natural now, to be honest.

I dont know about breast enlargement, I hope they are much better on that.

I would choose Bangkok hospital Phuket, since they are specialists in cosmetic surgery for farangs.

It is a bit more expensive but the results are good from what I have seen.

Take care!

I do agree to a certain extent, but for arguments sake...

Yanhee uses implants manufactured by Allergan, which is a trusted health care company founded in the United States. So, it might be fair to assume that if a North American product can suit an Asian person, they have products to suit any individual.

Agree. But these products come in different sizes and types and these in turn will suit different people. As long as the surgeon has experience dealing with westerners as well as with Thais, s/he will know this and, if the best one is not on hand, order it. The only risk -- and I'm not saying this would be the case with a doc at Yanhee, just that it is something to ,look at -- would be if the doc has only worked on Thais and assumes the same implants will give the same results (the equivalent happens to us farang women all the time with respect to hair treatments and the like... :o

i'd have to agree with both,

yes we are all human. and yes asian bodies are different to westerners.

The implants are american made. but the surgeons must be experienced enough with westerners as there are huge differences in our body type.

not only ribcage size saying that asian women are generally smaller, but also the the elasticity in the skin. westerners naturally have more ( lucky you) which surgeons must take into consideration to allow room to drop and what would look good. Also, now mentioning about elasticity.Surgeons must know where to scope the pockets too for that tailored fit.

some surgeons are "text book" surgeons and will do the same for every patient which clearly it doesn't work like that.

Also, yes the bra thing omg. I'm thai too but the bras over there omg they don't fit me well! Me and my sister would get souvenirs at we are like .......errr it'd rude to not take it, so we do but it ends up in the charity bins. they are like cones! lol

and yes, we look after the exchange students and the women and men seem much smaller then asian people living in western countries...hmmm

That doesnt sound good at all Rachels. Since when did they start using Eurosilicone and in what way are they not as good as the Allergan implant? Take care /comehome
