teacup
What do you do inside…......When it’s raining outside? (is your area flooding?.....any pics )……beside being on thaivisa which is quite boring lately? Or Any exciting or unique ideas to pass the time? ----------------------------------------------------- For me….. Well I'm stuck at home with nothing else to do , except just laying dead in the middle of my living room watching the rain dropping on the skylights, while chewing on my thai spicy dried squids!! I don't have the cable tv anymore, coz well you know….economy is not so good so we cut back on that and save 1200 bths a month, beside we don' really watch tv that much anyway.....so easy to let go........ Ofcourse I have works to do, hence I'm still “RAT-RACING” but too lazy to do at the moment, so I'm taking a few days off to stay home,....but with no real immediate plan of activities... Or may be I might work on my blog….still don’t know yet….. How about you?

Carib
If it rains I do all chores inside the house I postponed, work on some administration which I just put in the desk drawer to sort out later and get an hour or so sleep. Love sleeping when it rains.
0Mix1up
Learn a musical instrument. Which one? Any success? I play keyboard and intend to learn some thai instruments, meet local musos even play in one of the bands that play at the muay thai fights. interesting atonal (to my ears) music or something like that. lol anything that takes your fancy and you might have to try a few before you settle on one you like enough to practice and learn. there a few groups of instrument >stringed that you pluck or hit/bow >percussive that you hit >wind that you blow >electronic that you push buttons/keys. find out what you like, play it for awhile, get books on it, find a teacher its not easy but very rewarding and much better than passive stuff. they say playing music can help prevent dementia and alsymers(sp?) Nienke
Err... what i do (or did) when it rains outside? Totally depends on mood, what's on the 'to do' list and time of day ..... Do some necessary dog grooming and general healthcare Sit in the kennels while petting or playing with the dogs or cats Study from a book Write an article for a magazine or for my website Prepared a lesson for the Professor Paws: Humane education: Living Safely with Dogs school program Wrote a guide for the students' parents Clean the house (those things my maid doesn't do) Lie on the bench and listen to music Do my accounting (yikes!) If I have internet connection: Study online Read Thai visa Write emails to clients and/or friends etc. etc. Enough to do when it's raining Nienke

orchis
If I am at work I work until the heaviest rain is over, at home, I stay in, with a book or some chores. Towards the end of the rainy season when the rains are heavier and longer I tend to become impatient.

teacup
Drive by bus stops and spray folks with that perfume like road puddle backsplash. I was asking for....what to do “inside” ….duh But it's still funny tho, was that in Pattaya? Btw I’m also writing 2 thai lakorns off and on, and once done I’m pretty sure they will be a smash hit !!! But the gloomy and doomy wheather when it’s raining always makes me feel moody, agitated, impatient, and very tired somehow. So still can’t get past the first few episodes…. slapout
A man once told me more babies were concieved during rainey and snow days than any other time. Thailand lacks the latter but has a good supply of the former, so let the games begen.

I'm inside, and they are outside. I don't really do that (on purpose anyway). Hmm... when it's raining. I don't do anything differently (I'm all weather) other than avoid playing outdoor sports. teacup
Hehe….you funny man, ChoppyChopper What kind R U doing? ......sweating much? As for me....at the moment Well it has been raining continuously since my first post till now still. So I went outside and tried to fertilize my lawn with those synthetic stuffs - granular type, but I think the local birds gangsta had been munching on them for about 30 min after I came back inside. I guess it’s safe enough for them? Coz they still flying around happily! I have the picture of them doing the deed in my lawn,…… will post later if I find my ub-connector. So the thaivisa is my only lifeline for now So what you all doing…

Cuban
Light rain - seldom affects activities. Real rain (and it's lighning) needs to be watched from the bedroom balcony. If it's raining long enough I might wash the car (Thais think that is funny) or wash the paved areas of the outside of the house. I washed down the gate, fence and wall a month or so ago while the dogs looked at me with puzzled dry faces. Rain promising looking clouds in the early evening are great - we take some nearby family out to a favorite place to eat, knowing full-well that most of the normal Thai customers will stay away as they travel there by motorbike.
