Looking to go to K.L. in a couple of months with the wife, anyone know of a good reasonably priced hotel (approx 2000 baht) with a swimming pool.

You can check out any of the web based hotel finding websites.

Also check TripAdvisor for reviews of the hotels you find but they don't have anything good to say about most of the cheap hotels in KL.

Although 2,000 Baht will get you a good hotel in Bangkok with a swimming pool it won't get you much in KL. I stayed at the Brisdale and although it has a swimming pool it's a small one which is fine by me as I only wanted to cool off and have a beer after sightseeing.

It's in a very handy for getting around KL on the metrorail and MRT but the area is a bit run down. Great place for Indian curries though.
